In Texas, Police in Schools Criminalize 300.000 Each Year | ChildreninPrison

In Texas, hundreds of thousands of students are winding up in court for committing very serious offenses such as cursing or farting in class. Some of these so-called dangerous criminals (also known as teenagers) will face arrest and even incarceration, like the honors student who spent a night in jail [3] for skipping class, or the 12-year-old who was arrested for spraying perfume on her neck [4]. These cases have at least one thing in common in that they were carried out by special police officers walking a controversial beat: the hallways and classrooms of public schools.

Having A Baby Boy Shortens Mother’s Life, Says Study | Healthy Black Woman

When mothers have children that particularly challenge them, you will often hear some mothers say “this child will be the death of me!”  While we can assume that the mothers who say this only say it in a moment of frustration and don’t actually mean it nor believe it, it turns out that they are on to something, especially if the child they are talking about is a boy.

For fathers, it turns out this is not true. A new study claims that having a baby boy can shorten the life of a parent; but only the mother and not the father.

Information for You: GINGER DESTROYS CANCER MORE EFFECTIVELY THAN DEATH-LINKED CANCER DRUGS

GINGER DESTROYS CANCER MORE EFFECTIVELY THAN DEATH-LINKED CANCER DRUGS:

Ginger, a cousin spice of super anti-cancer substance turmeric, is known for its ability to shrink tumors. Astoundingly, it is even more effective than many cancer drugs, which have been shown to be completely ineffective and actually accelerate the death of cancer patients. Commonly consumed across the world in small doses among food and beverage products, the medicinal properties of ginger far surpass even advanced pharmaceutical inventions.

Why Police Officers Lie Under Oath – NYTimes.com

THOUSANDS of people plead guilty to crimes every year in the United States because they know that the odds of a jury’s believing their word over a police officer’s are slim to none. As a juror, whom are you likely to believe: the alleged criminal in an orange jumpsuit or two well-groomed police officers in uniforms who just swore to God they’re telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but? As one of my colleagues recently put it, “Everyone knows you have to be crazy to accuse the police of lying.”

5 Ways to Save the Arts in Education | Essence.com

Education is more than just reading, writing and arithmetic. It can be drawing, painting and sculpting, too. Many of our schools view arts education as secondary, ignoring the benefits of combining smarts with creativity. Research from organizations like the Arts Education Partnership proves that children exposed to the arts do a better job in traditional subjects.

and structure that naturally aids us (as African/Black People) in building and maintaining power;

Power to control the economic, political and cultural life of our Communities and Nations.

When cruelty’s disguised as ‘civilisation’ | Thought Leader

Has this person conveniently forgotten that as prescribed by the Bantu Land Act of 1913 and the Bantu Trust and Land Act of 1936, certain areas of the country were demarcated for black citizens? What this means is that, land was taken from people and those who were once able to feed themselves, their families and communities went straight to having nothing. You see, land is not ‘’just land’’ as many often insinuate. It is right at the centre of some of our most pressing problems today. Despite being an overwhelming 80% of the South African population, the land allocated for black occupation is believed to have been only 13% of the territory comprising the South African state. People were taken off land that had been in their families for generations and were taken from their homes. For some, it was the only home they had ever known.
