Expectations are high in Kingston, Jamaica as CARICOM leaders prepare for a short encounter with US President BARACK OBAMA later today. The Summit which is being held at the UWI’s MONA Campus will deal with three specific areas including energy security, the spread of terrorism and economic development.
St.Kitts-Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris has called for an integrated approach to discussions during the expected 90 minute Summit with the US President Obama at the UWI Campus.
Dr. Harris expressed the view during discussions at the special CAUCUS meeting among CARICOM Heads last evening (Wednesday April 8th). Dr. Harris suggested that the integrated approach would not only improve US-Caricom relations but also enhance the region’s Integration Movement.
